LONG TERM CARE HOME

The Wales Home has a 72-bed Long Term Nursing Care Home spread over three different floors (including Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit). This sector of the Home provides intensive nursing care for residents who require considerable medical attention. The role of the nursing personnel working on the long term care unit is to assist the residents with their daily living activities, at the same time respecting their level of autonomy, by carrying out daily living activities as outlined in the nursing care plan as well as the interdisciplinary care plan, concurrently promoting their well-being and quality of life. The on-site doctor and nursing staff work in collaboration to ensure that the residents receive the special care that they require.

Residents in the Long Term Care Home enjoy:

Although all the rooms are furnished, the residents are welcome to bring a few items such as a favourite chair or a TV with a stand.
