Job Offers: Registered Nurse (Supervisor or Head Nurse)
According to the nursing job descriptions, As a head nurse, you would manage and oversee 2-3 nursing units, in collaboration with the RNAs who head each unit. You would be the main link between the patients and doctors, do patient evaluations and SMAF evaluations, be responsible for communications with the pharmacy and families, set up interdisciplinary meetings, do personnel evaluations, participate in accreditation meetings, etc. As supervisor, you will care for 1 unit (autonomous residents) as well as being the contact person for the RNAs in the other units (e.g., if residents present new symptoms). You will be the link between patient and the doctor or hospital. You would also take care of replacing people who cannot come in for their shift.

JOB OFFERs: Certified Nursing Assistants
According to the nursing job descriptions, the LPN’s role is to oversee a full nursing care unit in collaboration with the head nurse or supervisor and with the help of caregivers. She is to contribute to the evaluation of the resident’s health and inform the head nurse/supervisor of any important changes, inform residents/families about health problems, prescribed treatments, prevention methods, perform regular nursing activities (re distribution of medication, vital signs, dressings, catheterization, blood work, etc.), coordinate various appointments, and promote teamwork.

According to the caregiver job descriptions, the caregivers at the Wales Home are dedicated, friendly, warm and caring people who help the residents with their daily activities, while focusing on helping them maintain their autonomy. They help the residents get dressed or undressed, they help with bathing, walking, eating, they help residents use the bathroom; they are there for companionship, to take the residents to and from activities and to take them outside in the fresh air.
